United States: Launch of the Federal Workforce Competency Initiative

Modelling and structuring skills in the vast arena of federal public employment is the new task of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM). To achieve this, a survey will be sent to a random sample of employees and managers representing nearly 350 professional categories. Since 2011, a regulation has required that employment practices be based on an objective analysis of each position.
